Maya Dundas
Maya Dundas- Mayers, 17 years old, graduated from St. Francois Girls’ College. Maya is now attending the University of the West Indies pursing her Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance. Maya’s goal is to be able to enjoy what’s she’s doing on a day-to-day basis in the future and that she is able to provide for her family in every which way possible. Maya would like to thank her mother for all the encouragement and support along the way and showing her how a person is expected to be take care of their loved ones. She would also like to thank Ms. Yuklin for introducing her to this program and allowing her to have this opportunity and supporting her in this journey.
Dureh Wren
Hello, I am Dureh Wren. I am a 2021 high school graduate from Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School in Winter Haven, Florida. I am very involved with my local community and help out at my church St. Mark’s Episcopal in Haines City, Florida. I also love archery, calisthenics, and computers. I am attending The University of Central Florida in the fall pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. My goal is to further mankind by reimagining technology and travel whether it is by, land, sea, air, or space! I am so immensely grateful for the help of my family as well as for The Trinbago Association of Central Florida for selecting me as a scholarship recipient and helping me to reach new heights.
D-Veena Rodriguez
I am D-Veena Rodriguez a nineteen (19) year old graduate from the High School Open Campus, University of the West Indies. In September, I will be attending College at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine to study Criminology and Criminal Justice. In keeping with my interest for human rights, my aim is to implement my theoretical experience practically to help those who are underprivileged and abused. I will like to thank God first and foremost for his guidance, The Trinbago Association of Central Florida (TTAC) for this opportunity to pursue my academic goal, my foster mother Sr. Jude Marie Aird, Mrs. Genevieve Vincent my mentor and all those who believed in me and supported me on this journey.
